Quartzsite, AZ Jan 2013

Our first trip to Quartzsite...This place is like Woodstock for Old Folks.  There were hundreds, perhaps thousands of RVs parked everywhere.  The downtown area consists of mostly RV parks.  There are vendors of every kind, and they are spread out everywhere.  We spent 3 days, and could have easily spent a week or two.  There is so much to see, if you enjoy swap meets, and a carnival-like atmosphere. We stayed out in Plomosa BLM area north  of town.  It's free boondocking, and wasn't very crowded.  The weather was just perfect.  It was in the very low 70s, but in the low 30s at night.  The night sky was big and bright.  No tall trees to obstruct the view.
