Eagle Valley Reservoir Aug 1-2, 2013

We were able to leave earlier on Thursday than we anticipated, so we intended to drive directly to Cave Lake State Park (near Ely, NV), but on the way, Linda saw the sign for Eagle Valley Reservoir (about 20 miles East of Pioche, NV).  She remembered camping there years ago, and I always wanted to see the area, so we headed that direction.  We got lucky, and found an empty site at Spring Valley State Park...in Horsethief Gulch Camping Loop, Site 32.  It was a rather tight fit for Big Bertha, but we managed.  This was a beautiful campground, and the lake was really refreshing to see.  While at the campground we saw a herd of deer feeding near the lake, and a bunch of cows grazing in the meadow.  Our next stop will be Cave Lake.

A city slicker will call these a bunch of cows, and a farmer will call it a herd of cows.
