RV Trouble on the Loneliest Road in America

We.ll, as you know, we left Cave Lake this morning, and headed toward Salt Lake City, Utah.  We took Hwy 50 East...it's dubbed 'The Loneliest Road in America'.  Well, out in the middle of nowhere, Big Bertha got a flat tire, and did a little bit of damage to the side of the RV.  Of course, no cellphone service...and I couldn't find a lugwrench to fit the tire.  After, about 30 minutes of searching, I found a socket and wrench to get the tire changed.
We made it down the road another 50 miles or so, and a tire on the other side blew out as well.  Now, we have no spare!!!   At least we had Good Sam Roadside Assistance, and we were able to get it changed.  We followed the towtruck driver to his shop in Nowhere, Utah, and he kindly supplied us with all 4 new tire...for a nominal fee.  Oh well, at least we should be safe now.  So, tonight we're staying in Nephi, Utah, and will make our way to Salt Lake City area tomorrow

Poor Big Bertha...She took quite a beating.

So glad you are both okay, Bruce, what a terrible thing to happen. The roads get so hot, not good for the rubber! Hope the rest of your trip through Utah is much better!
