The Final Stretch - July 7 - August 1, 2013

Well...We made it to the Final Stretch.  My LAST day of work was August 1st, 2013...Now, we get to begin a new adventure.  We're not really sure what to expect, but we're very excited.

We were really happy that we could stay at the Elks Lodge RV Park in Boulder City.  The folks here are all really nice people.  The other nice thing is that the rates dropped in July to just $13/day or $300/month.  That's pretty great, considering our 2 air conditioners seem to run non-stop all day long!

Before we could begin our new adventure, we realized it wouldn't necessarily be cheap.  We had to repair a hot water tank leak, a roof leak, a fiberglass overhang panel replacement, and 6 new tires for the truck...not to mention the small fortune we'll be spending for diesel fuel!

While we were in Boulder City, Mom & Dad Robinson stayed at the Lodge RV park for about a week, so it was nice to visit with them.  We said lots of good-byes to friends, family and co-workers.  That was a little bit sad, but hopefully, we can keep in touch with everyone.

Even though we are leaving Nevada, we plan on coming back often to visit friends and family.  Our first stopover will be Cave Lake State Park (near Ely, NV).  Cooler weather at last!!  I'll be posting at all of our locations as we begin to explore this great country of ours.  If you would like to follow us, click on the 'follow by email' link on the right side of the page.  You'll get an email next time we post.

In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger...We'll be back!
