Tucson, Arizona - Dec 6-11, 2014

After our trip from Texas, we enjoyed a nice stay at Adventure Bound RV Resort.  It's about 15 miles south of Tucson.  From there, we spent a few days seeing some attractions in the area.

Overview of Biosphere 2

One of the 5 climate zones.  This is the "Savannah" area.

Linda walking down the tunnel to the "Lung" of the Biosphere 2.  The Lung is a huge round dome with a 16-Ton aluminum roof that is attached to a rubber membrane.  When the air pressure inside the Biosphere changes due to temperature, the 16-ton roof will raise or lower to allow the air pressure to remain constant.

Texas Hill Country - Nov 5-Dec 5, 2014

I must say that Texas is much nicer than we expected it to be.  We stayed at Guadalupe River RV Resort in Kerrville.  It's located in Texas Hill Country, West of San Antonio and Austin. Although our site was not the best...there were plenty of nice sites, and lots of amenities.  While staying in Kerrville, we were able to get out and explore many of the nearby cities and towns.  If we're in Texas again, we would like to return to the area.

The River Rock Saloon at the RV Park.  Every night they had a campfire, and on certain nights they served 22oz drafts for only $1.25...We can't buy our own beer that!!  This place was awesome!

An odd attraction in Austin - the Baylor Street Art Wall
