Newport Fishing Trip

I was fortunate enough that Greg invited myself and Howie to go Salmon fishing off the Newport Coast.  Greg & Howie are also Camp Hosts here at Seal Rocks RV Cove.  We left early in the morning and the weather was almost perfect, with calm waters.  I was the only one lucky enough to catch a fish that day, but it was still a lot of fun.

5 pound Silver Salmon (Coho)

We caught a pretty full cage of Dungeness Crabs (6 keepers)

Our dinner that night (Salmon, Au-gratin Potatoes & Salad).  The fresh salmon was delicious

This wasn't part of the fishing trip, but I wanted to include Linda
And this guy we saw while kayaking Beaver Creek.  He's actually not a beaver, but a Nutria (basically a River Rat)

So fantastic you got to experience that Bruce! My Uncle John loved fishing and crabbing in that same area. Coho Salmon and Dungeness crab...big favorites! So, what time is dinner?
