Mission Bay RV Resort - Jan 4-Feb 4 2016

When we first arrived at Mission Bay (San Diego), the weather was pretty wet.  We had several days of rain with an occasional downpour, but thankfully no flooding in the park.  Then, later in the month we had a storm with strong winds.  It actually blew our new satellite dish off the roof.  Thankfully, it wasn't damaged too badly.  Other than that, the weather was great!  We stayed in site 113, but as a future note, we would like to get a corner site (8 or 9).  We had a great time here, and made lots of great new friends too!

There are lots of good walking/biking paths around Mission Bay.  We took many morning walks around this part of the bay.

We always enjoy visiting Old Town - San Diego.  Lots of quaint shops and restaurants.

There are so many eclectic neighborhoods in the San Diego area.  This was our first time to see North Park.

The Lily Pond with some of the beautiful architecture in the background at Balboa Park

Balboa Park has 1200 acres of gardens, museums, theaters, restaurants and the San Diego Zoo.  It's a must-see if you are ever in the area.

Mission Bay Park is the largest aquatic park in the country.  It's 4,600 acres, about 50% land, and 50% water. A great way to see more of it is by kayak.

We enjoyed riding our bikes from the RV Park to the Mission Beach-Pacific Beach Boardwalk.  It's a great place to people-watch!

Linda found some beautiful dried flowers at the Hillcrest Farmers Market.  It's one of the better farmers markets that we've visited.

We took the Metrolink train from Oceanside to Orange, California.  They have a great deal on weekends - All day rides for only $10

Linda met up with an Instagram friend - Chris.  She was so nice and gave us a wonderful tour of her town.

Linda met up with another Instagram friend, Sonja.  They had a great time visiting one another in Encinitas, California.

Here are some more friends that we made at the RV Park.  Scott, Norma, Viola, Hans and Lisa.  They got us started playing Pickleball.  What a fun game and a great group of people!

Having dinner with Scott, Norma and Viola at Lou & Mickeys - in the Gaslamp Quarter

While at the Historic Gaslamp Quarter, Linda got some great night-time photos of the beautiful street.

Our newest addition to the family.  Say Hello to Molly!
