Richmond, Virginia Mar 30-Apr 3, 2016

We stayed at Americamps RV Resort just north of Richmond.  Due to the rain, we didn't see all the sights we intended to see.  There are a lot of things to see here, like the battlefields, museums and the Virginia State Capital.

The Cherry Trees were in blossom along the Kanawha Canal

The Canal Walk is part of the Virginia Capital Trail.

This suspension walking bridge is connected by cables to the Robert E Lee Bridge (Highway) above.  It goes over to Belle Isle.

The James River overlooking downtown Richmond

Linda couldn't resist taking a photo of some colorful flags downtown.

This is part of the Civil War Museum that we visited

This is a popular area known as Carytown.  It began as Richmond's first strip mall shopping center.  It was built in the 1930s and has since expanded to over 230 eclectic shops and restaurants.
